How PodReadAI handles your data

PodReadAI transcribes podcasts and lets you read and chat with your transcripts. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

• We use your data to provide PodReadAI and to keep improving the service.
• You can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Contact us below.
• Some trusted service providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards are used.

• Basic account details from Google or Apple sign-in, such as your name and email address.
• The episodes you choose to transcribe. Audio is kept only briefly, while transcripts and summaries are saved until you remove them.
• PodReadAI stores the credit balance and transaction reference associated with your account. The iPhone app never receives or stores payment-card details.

• To sign you in with Google or Apple.
• To transcribe podcasts and generate summaries.
• To answer your questions about a transcript. Chat is powered by Google Gemini, which applies built-in safety filters. We never save your chat history.
• To maintain your account credit balance and make sure a transaction is never applied twice.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

• Your transcripts and summaries are stored securely in the UK, on Amazon Web Services in London.
• Google or Apple sign-in is used for account access, and your session is kept on your device until you sign out.
• Transcripts and chat answers are created by Google Gemini. The episode audio you pick, and the questions you ask, are sent to Gemini with its built-in safety filters applied.

• Stripe processes card payments. PodReadAI never receives or stores full card details.
• We retain only the resulting credit balance and a transaction reference, so a transaction can never be applied twice and we can provide support.
• Receipts, refunds, and payment questions are handled through the support form below.

• The app uses the same account as the website. Your sign-in is stored in your iPhone's secure Keychain.
• On-device caches (like your recent reads and reading positions) are cleared when you sign out.
• PodReadAI does not use advertising trackers, show ads, or request microphone access.

• We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in, return you to the right place after sign-in, remember your theme preference, and keep track of an in-progress transcription.
• We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling tools.
• Some short-lived data stays in your current tab so pages load faster when you revisit them.
• You can sign out to clear your session, and you can clear browser site data at any time to remove saved preferences and temporary markers.

• Episode audio is temporary. We remove it after transcription, and any remaining copies are deleted automatically within 7 days.
• Transcripts and summaries stay until you delete them or delete your account.
• We never save your chat history — not in our systems and not in our logs.
• You can export any transcript as a file (HTML or PDF) to keep.
• Deleting your account removes your transcripts and profile from PodReadAI.

• We use encryption while data is being sent and while it is stored.
• Access to data is limited to the parts of the system that need it to run the service.
• Google or Apple sign-in protects your account without requiring a separate password.
